Burgas Becomes More Attractive Destination for Year-round Tourism

In the end of May and the early June Burgas Municipality and the municipalities Primorsko, Malko Tarnovo, Sredets and Kameno organize expedient tour for journalists and workshop for journalists and tour operators for implementation the project "The Magic of Antiquity and Beauty of Nature from Burgas Bay to Strandzha Mountain".

The project is funded by Operational Program "Regional Development 2007-2013", cofounded by European Regional Development Fund.

Main focus of the project is integrated management and effective marketing of tourist potential of Burgas and municipalities-partners of the project. Its purpose is promoting the region as an attractive tourist destination for year-round visit.

From the 28th to 30th of May the guests will enjoy varied program. They went to sea journey to "Saint Anastasia" island, visited Rusokastron castle and ancient city Deultum, Thracian megalithic sanctuary Begliktash and many other tourist sites, natural and historical attractions from Burgas bay to Strandzha.

National Thracian Folklore festival "Bojura" was held in Sredets on the 31st May and the 1st of June.

Events were attended by Yordanka Ananieva - deputy mayor of Burgas Municipality, Krasimira Kostova - director of the Historical Museum in Sredets, Dora Aleksandrova - tourism specialist in Municipal enterprise "Tourism" - Burgas and others.
